Anti-Scale Saltless Water Treatment

TAC media systems are not water softeners in a technical sense, as they do not remove hardness ions from the water and do not lower the total hardness of the water.  Rather, TAC media systems nucleate hardness ions in the water, such as calcium carbonate (commonly referred to as lime scale).  The nucleation prevents ions adherence to plumbing infrastructure.  Please see image for basic representation of this process.
